Mike Metzger Assumes Director of Acquisitions Role for Westcore Properties in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES (April 4, 2017) – Mike Metzger, who previously handled leasing for Westcore Properties’ Sacramento, Reno and Silicon Valley office and industrial property portfolios, has opened an office for Westcore in El Segundo, California. Metzger is now a Director of Acquisitions at Westcore and will focus solely on the Los Angeles marketplace.
“Los Angeles has more than one billion square feet of office and industrial space, but acquiring property is challenging in a tight market with high investor interest,” said Hack Adams, Senior Vice President at Westcore Properties. “Having a talented real estate professional like Mike immersing himself in the local real estate community to discover value-add and core-plus opportunities is consistent with our business model, and we look forward to growing our property portfolio in Los Angeles.”
Metzger will work closely with Adams and Westcore’s investment committee. Adams will continue to lead acquisitions in the Southern California markets of Orange County, Inland Empire and San Diego. Westcore is an active investor in industrial and office properties throughout the Western United States.
Prior to working for Westcore, Metzger was a broker at CBRE specializing in industrial properties. He served for three years as president of Association of Commercial Real Estate (A.C.R.E.) Sacramento, including one year as president, and served nearly two years as a Regional Council Member for Make-A-Wish America in Sacramento. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business Administration from University of San Diego.
Metzger is a resident of Los Angeles’ Playa del Rey neighborhood.
